We hope you enjoy browsing through our Website, which has been developed to tell you about our Club, who we are, what we do and how to contact us. This Website is not about breeding Border Terriers, locating Stud Dogs or selling Puppies. Our aim is to present you with a balanced view of the Border Terrier and share with you our thoughts and experiences of this active, game and versatile breed.

The Club holds three Shows each year, a Members Limited Show in March, which is held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting of the Club. A Championship Show is held in June and our Open Show in September. More information of these can be found under Shows and Events.

In addition to the Shows we also organise a Fun Day in July and a Teach In/Educational Day in December, both of these events are extremely popular with the non-show going members in particular. At these events we normally hold Dog Matches and can offer our members the opportunity to learn more about the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Dog Training Awards. Demonstrations on Coat Care and Hand Stripping are also given.

Each November the Club has the responsibility for organising the Discover Dogs stand for Border Terriers for the two day Event at Earls Court, London. This provides invaluable information for those who may be thinking of getting a Border Terrier.

We are keen to monitor the Health of our Breed and if you own a Border Terrier and would like to take part in the Survey, you will find more details under Breed Health.

The Club holds a Register of Dogs that obtain a Working Certificate. More information on the criteria to be met and how to apply can be found under Working Certificates.

For those who become interested in judging our breed, we organise Breed Specific Seminars, in line with the Kennel Club Code of Best Practice, priority being given of course to those that have already completed our Judges Questionnaire and are on either the Clubs B or C Judges Lists. If you wish to be considered for the Club's Judges Lists then you may download a Questionnaire under Judging the Breed.

New Members are always welcome and details of how you may apply can be found under The Club.
